It has been many years since I fished this lake but when I did I found it to be a very interesting lake to fish. It has quite a bit of structure for a small lake. I loved the areas of the big lily pads. While I did not catch a great number of fish I did catch several nice ones. This was before Catch and Release. I remember one day I was casting a Johnson Silver Minnow with a pork frog trailer into the pads. I thought I had hooked a big pad stem until it came out of the water. She was at least 8-9 pounds and of course she got off. I hooked something one evening just as I was coming to the landing. I had it on for some time before it pulled off. When I retrieved my lure there was a white scale nearly as large as a half dollar. I do not believe it was a carp but it may have been. I have had carp strike a lure occasionally.
I am rating this lake as a three star because It has been so long since I fished it and I have fished better lakes since. Yet I might have rated it higher back then.
