Lake Puckaway

Anyone know if there is a tournament on the lake tomorrow? 

Nice fish Race !
My fishing was a bust today .
Maybe some walleyes are moving up river with the high water ?

Water is very high so I waded in from shore and caught these back to back with swim bait

Nice day to be out on the lake.
Fishing wasn't the best though.
Got a few here and there. 
The apuckawa pier is in , guess they did it this morning. 
Saw some logs, bog chunks, and trees floating around out there , be aware of them.
The water is dark ​, kind of a funky redish orange most places I went.

Got out midday for a few hours.
 Had good success on the north shore toward the west end until the fog lifted. Then it
slowed down. 
Some good sized bass and northern.
There was some bait fish along the first drop-off, which is about 4 feet at the current Lake level. 
They were hitting the surface and also there was some bird activity. 
Spinners and crankbaits worked best.
The Apuckawa pier is not in yet .

Walleyes on the south shore already with some nice females showing up. Some fish are being caught up river in different areas. Hair jigs , spit shot rigs, and drop shot rigs are a good way to start out in the colder water. .GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
