Late report from Tuesday.. Was a beautiful but windy day, went out with a few friends that don’t get out much, and to our surprise there was not another soul on the ice! It was wonderful af!  We fished from 6-1pm 30 flags, 22 cpr’d gamefish from 9-38” and every size in between, seen a jumbo perch and decent crappie swim under a hole but wasn’t set up or targeting them. Still had 14 inches of ice except for the 20ft hole at the landing that has been melting wide open and barely refreezing nightly with these warm daytime temps, anyhow atv access is still good if you go around the hole to the right you can get on without trespassing onto private property.

Went to Jordan for the first time today 9:00-12:00. I was surprised how gin clear the water is. I could see my jig at 17’. I measured 8 1/2” of ice in most holes I drilled. Top couple inches are getting soft but still pretty firm. Goes without saying but please take your ice cleats. As for the fishing I was marking some on fish but they were not interested in my presentation. Did ice one pike approx 24”, other than the crazy wind it was fun hitting new water. I was the only one on the lake that I could see.

I also hit Palmer on my way by. First timer on there as well. Measured 7 1/2” there. Only a few crappie and gills, all still swimming.

Nanook out

Took the grandkids out again, they had a blast and caught fish. Ice was slicker than snot, and more so after the morning snow dusting. Roughly 6 inches in most spots

Iceman, I’m not sure if there’s safe ice after the last week of warm temps and rain.was barely 5 inches last weekend…Anyhow if there is still safe ice try going left off landing roughly 200yds and find 7-10 feet of water that has weeds.. you shouldn’t be very far from shore as nearly the entire lake drops off pretty quickly. Crappie minnows and waxies work great when they’re biting. Hope this helps,Good luck and stay safe!

Hey all. Traded lakes with a buddy and now looking for a tip on where to start for some panfish, never been here before. Sounds like you can find northern on tipups all over the place. Just looking for an area to start or maybe a depth to find crappies or gills. Any help at all is much appreciated. Tight Lines!

Chilly morning with a decent bite from 7-830 until the wind picked up and had me doing circles.. was tossing a blue/black spinner with a white twin trailer/tail that had the lm bass attention right away, and a few nice pike.. tried casting into the choppy seas and gave up shortly after my 20th wind circle in my 10ft flat bottom about 930. Was nice to have my pole get  jerked a few more times before it gets put away for the year. Good luck yall!, maybe see ya’s during the ice season!

Fished Jordan early yesterday/Friday morning untill pushed off the lake by all the weekenders and there wake boats etc.   Targeted pike and the bite was just ok to slow for first several hours of the day,  Sky's were cloudy and misty so was surprised bite was slow. BUT did manage to put my buddy onto one nice pike for the day. Majorty of fish caught today were under 30" with the exception of one pretty looking Toad. Flashy lures was the key for today. Tight lines
