thanks we picked up a 19.5" walleye 2 lm bass one at 15" so considering first time wasnt horrible and lakemaster map wasnt real accurate should have  auto charted.

Elk point is the bar/resort ballfield. I used to use that one but now use the northwest landing. The NW land is just south of elk point. If youre coming from jakes direction youll see the sign.

Hey, my choice is tainter. Ive fished it 3 times this week. I use the northwest landing and i fish a 17 ft lund. The landing is like a B B- in my opinion.  The kleist landing is really nice but its on the extreme lower end of the lake. Ive mostly fished eyes on the south east part of the main lake and the shoreline in front of the northwest landing. Trolling flickr shad at about 1.7mph has been best for me. Crappie have been tough for me, i went up the hay checked down timber etc and nothin doing. I dont think theyre quite ready. Water temp was 58.1-59.7

Rarely fish either, live nearby, if forced to fish either I would go with Tainter, and focus where the Hay River comes in and and back through the channel under the bridge for Crappies,  I have caught both Crappie and Eye's in that location.   Lamb's creek Landing probably, there is another landing further up the lake closer to Elk Point to use as well.  Trying to remember if that is a Lions club landing / Park but escapes me at the moment.   Good luck not much help for you.  They do well on Crappie on Tainter.

Either the landing across from Jake's or the Kleist landing down the road will support a large deep V boat.  I prefer the Kleist landing it seems to be a little less busy at times, except for the fact you have to cross the road to park the rig.  Just more room for parking.

Sorry not a report. Just wonder what landings on the lake are best for launching a bigger deep v boat? Thanks in advance.

Fished today from about 9 to 530. Trolled in front of red cedar south end and shoreline in front of the north west landing. Caught 4 northern and a couple small mouth. Also jigged for a while south of the high point. 14 to 20 feet of water. Did get some nice perch jiggin. No eyes which is the fish i was hunting. Water temp was between 58.9 and 60.1. Will be out again next week, ill post again.
