Is it still “no wake”? Thinking of fishing but if the pleasure boaters are going crazy I’ll find a different lake.
Silver Lake , Waukesha County
Silver isn't even the best carp lake in town. Labelle 5 min away is much better, near the river exit
Any carp in the lake my son and I are looking to have a little fun shooting a few carp. Thanks
Well, I had some technical issues, so Silver Lake didn't get its own episode, but here's what I was able to salvage and throw together. Enjoy!

Thanks for the tips guys. And yes, my wife is a pretty fantastic gal.
Fished today from about 7am to noon. I was really impressed with how clear the water was here. The smaller bass have moved up and are starting to cruise around, but don't seem to be guarding any territory yet. Some of the "bigger" (around 2lb from the looks of it) bass were in about 5-8ft, but weren't interested in anything we had to offer. We caught a couple small bass very close to shore on senkos and ned rigs. I was surprised how closely tucked to the shore they were given the top water temp was only 53.5 in all parts of the lake. I'll have a video out in about a week.
There were a decent amount of boats on the water, to the point where I was starting to feel kind of crowded (especially by the guy who motored to about 50ft in front of me while I was clearly trolling the shoreline). I didn't see anybody else catch anything, and people I talked to said they only had one or two small bass on the day. Everybody caught them shallow, anybody fishing deeper struggled hard.
Don't forget... tomorrow is mother's day! Take your mom fishing!
Straight out from the launch. Opposite side if the lake. Find the points that stuck out. Senko worms will get you bass and certain jigs will work for certain fish...
I'm sure your wife is a good lady, 262.Did you get the kayak she promised? The island doesn't look like an island, just a channel around it. But indeed a good place to start
Around the island is some pretty good fishing. Good luck
I'm thinking of fishing here tomorrow and filming for my YouTube channel which is geared towards catching a fish in every lake in Waukesha County. I am NOT asking for your spots, rather was wondering if there are any unique features or landmarks that would make for good B-roll (for example, Golden Lake has a point with a rhino statue on it). I'm trying to have my episodes have some decent production value rather than just catching fish with selfies.
Thanks in advance!
And jaybeeturtle, I know you've seen my posts before... the wife will be out of town so she has nothing to say about it!
