Planning on fishing Como or another local lake tomorrow morning early. I am inquiring about the access points as far as slush conditions, water on ice, shoreline erosion etc. If anyone could provide an up to date status that would be great. Otherwise, I might make the drive myself, and post what I find. I would like to drive on if possible, but don't want to be "that guy" that gets stuck or breaks through at the access. Thanks to any help.

Are travel conditions still pretty good? Did the recent snow cause any slush issues? Looking to bring the kids out from an hour away, but don't wanna make the drive if conditions aren't decent.

Thanks

Cat Man. Under the No Motorized Vehicle sign it says No Motorized Vehicle operation over 25mph and 200 ft from shore. I have my 1990 G2500 van out there the past couple of days and there is about 12-14 inches of ice towards the dam side.

When I drove down to the lake this afternoon I really didn't see many fisherman on the lake and nobody on the west wide of the lake. There is a sign on the barricade at the boat launch that says No Motorized Vehicles and when I started driving down lake shore I saw a snowmobile coming up the lake. It's possible the snowmobile was the local sheriff, but I seen by the dam where it looks like some type of vehicles were driving out. So it leaves me wondering what the rules of our lake are? I say our lake because I live here and pay my yearly dues but I don't feel in any way that it's a private lake our I have any privileges.

You’re welcome MA. For what it’s worth I’ve had better luck deeper, which I know isn’t real deep on Como, but you know what I mean.

Was out there a couple days ago east side. The ice seems pretty consistent everywhere I’ve been on the lake around 9-10 inches. There were some areas of snow drift that made walking a little tough off the beaten path. Have seen Snowmobiles, 4 wheelers, cars, and full size trucks but I’m staying on foot. To me it’s marginal for large vehicle traffic but everything else seems good to go. Keep your head on a swivel for the airplanes landing on your face.

Out from sun up til 2pm today. Pretty slow. Had 6 flags from 7AM to 9 AM - lost a couple fish at hole but junior stuck a really nice bass. 1 flag from 9AM to 2. Didn't see anyone else out there too busy either.
