Was up the week of July 19-25th. Hot and humid the first day with water temps above 76. Theme for the week was bass hit everything. Threw top waters, bucktails, phantoms, and spinners. Pike were hitting on a black and red bucktail with a gold blade over the cabbage beds. More bass than pike. Only saw one Musky roll on a top water.
Cold front and rain came in, only dropped water temps to 75-76. Sunday morning had to be 50 with a north winds. Bass were still hot, did not even see a follower for the rest of the week.
Caught LMB under docks, in the bull rushes and in cabbage with yum dingers...color did not matter.
Was able to get a 25" walleye to hit a phantom 5 minutes before sunrise while casting for musky. Picked up one small musky later in the week when jigging for walleye when the temps started to climb to the 80s
