Most small to medium area lakes have completely frozen over. Most large lakes are still relatively ice free. No lakes currently offer safe ice for ice fishing. All docks and hoists are out for the season. Area lake levels are currently low. The extended forecast calls for somewhat warmer temperatures which should slow ice formation.

Walleye - Good: Try spinners, crankbaits and shallow shad raps. Evening bite has been getting better as the water cools.

Area lake temperatures have been dropping consistently lately with many in the upper 40s. The walleye bite around the area has also been picking up. Almost all docks, hoists and courtesy docks have now been pulled out for the season. Most vegetation is now completely laid down so finding structure to fish around may be harder. Lake levels are also lower making launching a boat in some areas more difficult.

Area lake temperatures have been dropping consistently lately with many in the upper 40s. The walleye bite around the area has also been picking up. Fishing around hoists and docks has been good, but most of them have been pulled out for the season. Most courtesy docks at ramps are still in. Lake levels are also lower making points and shallow boat ramps more hazardous.

Most area lake temps are in the low 60s. The forecast is for cooler conditions. Fishing from and around docks has been getting better. Fishing has begun to pick up more now that water temperatures have been cooling down.

Black Crappie - Fair:

Fishing/trolling has been getting easier as aquatic vegetation subsides as water temperatures fall.

Walleye - Slow: Try trolling crank baits or with lindy rigs off weed lines. An hour before and after sunset have been the best times to see success.

Most area lake temps are in the low 70s to upper 60s. The forecast is for cooler conditions. This should allow the bite to start picking up. Fishing from and around docks has been getting better. Start looking for bigger fish to get more active in shallower water.

Fishing/trolling has been getting tougher as aquatic vegetation has reached the surface in many areas but will begin to subside once water temperatures start to fall.

Most area lake temps are in the mid to low 70s. The forecast calls for continued temps in the 70s-80s. Bass and panfishing has been a bit slower on most lakes recently. Most bigger fish are out deeper yet, while smaller fish are closer to shore. Try fishing along weedlines in 12+ feet of water for the best chance of success.
