Lake Sule is located at the junction of I39 and I88 southeast of Rochelle in Ogle County Illinois.
Lake Sule is a 77 acre borrow pit that was built during the construction of Interstate 39. Digging commenced in 1979 and the lake was formed in January 1982. The lake is part of a large drainage pattern, and its outfall is a major tributary of the Kyte Creek. The deed to the lake is held by the Flagg-Rochelle Park District, and its major use is recreational fishing. By 1994, a boat launch and an access were developed for fishermen. The lake has a maximum depth of 20 feet with an average depth of 12 feet.

White Bass can also be caught in Sule now. Crappies are in good numbers and size.Walleye are prevellant not abandant.I have seen a few nice muskie in the lake also. Learn where the fish cribs are and you'll do well.One is straight out from the inlet creek

Yeah I'd say it some what good, I had some good luck fishing there a few times. Mostly small mouth bass though right by the shore of rip raps,yea i caught one walleye there right off the dock too back in '07. So I'd say its good lake for now.
