Beck Lake is located in Cook County, on Central Road between River Road and the Tri-State Tollway (US294) in Des Plaines, IL.
Beck Lake is 37 acres and has a shoreline length of 6000 ft, a maximum depth 19 feet, and an average depth of approximately 12 feet. The lake was created in 1958 as a borrow pit for expressway construction. It has good depth and vegetation in summer, creating good fish habitat. Beck Lake has ample shorefishing access. There is a concrete boat ramp, however no gas motors can be attached to boats, electric motor only. Kayaks and canoes are common, but no concessions are available for rentals or bait. Parking, picnic, picnic tables and portable outhouses are provided amenities. No fish cleaning station is available.

took a 6.5 pound bass from here on spinnerbait, big fish possible, but many 1-2 pound largemouths, catfish possible also carp. crappies are seasonal and MANY bluegills. perch are here too, nice little lake, ALSO some northern about 19-12" now becasu they were stocked few years ago
