Large Mouth bass in weed areas plus logs & limbs in the water with live night crawler on worm harness has been working well. Yo-Zuri Pin's Minnow/Floating, fished over sandy, rocky, gravel along shore lines early morning hours 5:30am to about 9am is best. Return back at 7pm to dark also was a good time frame. Fishing the same area with the same baits hooked up two small Walleye 10" and 12.5 ". All fish Released. Large mouth are stating to hit on top water early morning & later evening. Great Lilly Pads south by Boy Scouts Park, St. Charles, the Large Mouth bass are there.

Prior to heavy rains two northern pike 28 inches and 34 inches caught at Lions Park. Carp are moving in since the water has warmed. Live bait, minnows are still the best bait.  As for artificial bait I used a purple/black 6 inch worm Carolina rig & caught 3 Walleyes between 18 inches and 22 inches.

March 23, 2020 fishing down stream from the dam at Lions Park and Pike Park water temp was taken at 3:00pm and read 38 degrees in 3 foot of water. Two northern Pike where caught, one on artificial crank bait, the other on live bait minnow. Both Northern Pike had deep fat bellies. This gave the impression they were loaded with eggs and had not yet spawned. My opinion is walleye & pike are still in pre-spawn. IL DNR biologists state that Illinois walleye spawn between 44-48 degrees and pike at 40 degrees and up. The best way to catch fish is to have your line in the water.

7' spinning rod reel, 8lb Prower Pro braid line with 6 lb 24" fluorocarbon leader, 1/8oz plain lead jig head with 5" white Kalin"s Lunker Grub. First cove down stream from the dam east side Fox River, walleye & small mouth spot, 2 walleyes caught 13 1/2" + 14 1/4". Caught between 3pm & 4pm. Cove is slack water, fan cast & work the cove north to south, fish hit just before the current eddie line. Caught a 10" small mouth same cove at 1pm on same rig. Fly fishing this cove is also good using sinking line with wet fly starting in May. Been fishing areas of the Fox River for 45+ years. Tip: Get into the water with hip or full waders which allows you to cover more water & get into those deeper pockets that you can't reach by shore fishing. All fish released back to the water.

Fished from 8:30-10:30 pm about a mile south of the dam on the west side of the river. Found a clearing to set up my catfishing poles. Caught one 24 inch channel cat, 5-6 lbs. Used nightcrawlers and Chicken Liver pre-packaged bait. Nightcrawlers has more success, with both the channel cat caught and a massive strike (but lost the fish).

Wow... Nothing???

No reports at all?

I went fishing two other times with nothing to show for.

I can't believe nobody is willing to report.

Fished last night for about 4 hours with a friend neer 31 and 20 ... No bites... Not even one. Have to get my boat out and scan the bottom to find some holes.

We used live suckers for bait.

Tight lines.
