Front Pedestal Seat Rod Holders

Looking for opinions on rod holders.  My boat currently has 6 rod holders mounted on the livewell so when I take out a couple buddies I gotta lay a couple rods along the back seat when motoring out onto the lake.  I have seen some rod holders you can get that mount into your front pedestal seat hole.  I would love to get the rods out of the way in the back, but am concerned when going out in rougher seas the rods would be bouncing around and get damaged.  Anyone have these and how do you like them?

So I made my own. It works well and it is rock solid.

You can also buy them with and elastic loop that anchors the sock to your reel.

I tried the Drift Control rod socks with the 8 tube holder, when the speed got high enough they wanted to blow right out of the holder with the extra drag. The newer perforated tighter socks may not do the same thing.

I have the Cabelas 8 tube holder and it works great. I keep my rods in rod socks when not in use so no tangles.

I used the Cabelas eight tube holder for many years without issue, but in rough water the did get tangled tips sometimes. If your going to do and worried about the rods getting beat up I would look into the Bert's Custom Tackle Rod Coral, you get it from them in any seat base you need.
