This can include all whiskeys that are not bourbon. Irish, Japanese and malt whiskies. This 16 year is incredible. Very smooth.

Great picks BMRR , I'm enjoying a glass tonight of the McKenna Henry. I'm going to try that crown blackberry Brandy you had on a couple days ago. You know you're whiskey Brandy .

Lundy-  For straight up sipping it is ER for me and it is not very close. Just a lot more flavor, spices going on with ER (at least with my palate which is not great). Buffalo Trace is fine with Old Fashions and other mixers, but I can buy a number of readily available Whiskey/Bourbon's for mixers that are less expensive than BT (imo).

I was finally able to find a bottle of Eagle Rare and a bottle of Buffalo Trace in my area. Been sipping on both of them, but I seem to be drinking the Buffalo Trace quicker.  Made an old fashioned with the Buffalo Trace and it was delicious.  Which one of these two bottles does everyone prefer?

The 1792 12 year is a great bottle!!! Hard to find, and is released only once a year. If anyone stumbles on one in my opinion 100 or less worth picking up for a special pour.

Onebottle-   I have not had that Barrel bottle/batch 35 but I can tell you Barrel is one of my favorite brands. Have had 3-4 different bottles and all have been great. Give us an update when you open it.

Bass, I caught the whiskey fever last winter and am new to the game, but it is so damn fun. I appreciate your posts as  I have learned a lot over the last several months from you.

I have enjoyed my full proof 1792. I can’t imagine what a 12 year old version would taste like!!!

Well I finally uncorked my Eagle Rare bottle and had this whiskey for the first time ever.  Harder than heck to find but worth the wait. I taste butterscotch and then cinnamon red hots on the finish. I see what the hype is all about.

1792 aged 12 years. What’s going on? It’s an incredible bottle. The aroma has berries, cinnamon, caramel and spice. The taste has brown sugar caramel spice and vanilla. Did I say this in incredible bottle? I’m just finishing this a little bit up on this bottle.

Having one of my all-time favorites, Caribou Crossing single barrel! What an incredible Canadian whiskey. This bottle is really nice. I’m getting the marshmallow, vanilla, toffee and just a hint of spice. Just phenomenal. The aroma is a sweet vanilla and caramel. One of my all-time great
