This can include all whiskeys that are not bourbon. Irish, Japanese and malt whiskies. This 16 year is incredible. Very smooth.

Going out to do some hand watering in the yards today. We’ll see what else I can get into. Bottles that is.

I still have a couple bottles left, but I get sad every time I knock off one of these Michters 10 yr rye. Fruit, caramel, and baking spices  are very abundant in this bottle. Very little peppery flavor. It is better than most Bourbons, including the Michters 10 yr bourbon at times. Depends on the bottle.

Hitting the Glendronach revival 15 year again this afternoon. Nice brown sugar, and apple with a little bit of walnut mixed in there. Slight smoke.

Hit these pretty good tonight. The makers is better than the last nonsense. Vanilla and brown sugar. No funny after taste from a burnt barrel or a bug repellent spice. You know I live the wellers reserve.

Getting ready to pop this 2023 limited release of makers mark. I’m gonna have to say I’m not going to enjoy it from the last couple of makers marks. But we shall see. Just finishing up a pour of Yellowstone limited edition, 2022. Yes guys are going to be a few bourbon post before I can get to any other kind of whiskey due to the fact that I am cooking outside, and with my current status, I’m on able to run up and down stairs and look for other whiskeys. But as soon as somebody becomes available, I’m sure they will grab me some and we will post on them OK.

Blackened Wes Henderson bourbon. There is a bit of white grape in there, but there’s way too much oaken spice at the end for me right now. At this time I would say let the band Metallica have it and let them drink it. But I will post later and see if it smooths out a bit.

Clyde Mays five year single barrel straight rye, whiskey critique. This is surprisingly very good. It reminds me of a Michter‘s rye  ten-year. it is very sweet for a rye. You can taste the vanilla caramel baking spice and the rye with a little bit of pepper. I am very surprised how sweet it is. if you’re a whiskey drinker, I recommend that if you’re looking for something that does not taste like alcohol, may not be for you, but right now on the first pour, I am loving this. It has an elegant color as you can see in the pictures and the label is very attractive as well. I know that doesn’t mean much. I like this bottle for around $54.

Before I take another hiatus, I thought I would post on this last weekend’s whiskey tasting. The Redwood Empire, suntory world, whiskey, and a dirty. Helen were big winners this weekend loved by all.

The suntory world is excellent by the way. It does have smoke like a scotch. I want to warn the folks that think they are getting a candy bar. It has sweet impressions just like any other suntory.

Picked up the suntory world for 60. Never tried this one. I am sure will be toffee and vanilla knowing their whiskies ?quite well.
