This can include all whiskeys that are not bourbon. Irish, Japanese and malt whiskies. This 16 year is incredible. Very smooth.

So BMR, loved jack all my drinking life...
When did this Sinatra appear? Am I going to have to pay arm & leg for it?
I remember when Johnny Walker Blue came out. had always been a moderate fan of
JW Black and thought I'd just pay a little more for Blue...
bout messed meself when it was $300

Me and my buddy finished off this bottle of 12 year. It was about a quarter bottle left. Aroma has   cocoa, fruit, malt, butterscotch ginger bread I think. Taste is malt, cocoa and fruit. Will be looking for another bottle now. Only 70 ?was the price of this one.

Jack Daniels Sinatra. Aroma is Carmel and Marshmallow. The taste tonight I can pick up a little bit of orange, banana and milk chocolate. Along with a little bit of rye background, and some oak. Growing more fond of this.

Oh boy here we go! This is an excellent Canadian whiskey. I have seen it listed anywhere from $50-$300. It is well worth 50 and into the $70 range for sure. However some store picks out there people have been burnt on those. This is the Canadian blantons. The aroma is definitely corn and marshmallow. This bottle, the marshmallow taste, definitely bleeds through with vanilla and caramel. Very very smooth sipper and one of my all-time favorites.

Michters 10 yr bourbon. This single barrel has the aroma of slight banana and orange. Overall first contact is soothing. Cinnamon presence with oak and rye background. Picking up hints of a buttered  baked apple desert.

Old fitz is definitely the best thing Heaven hill has going out for juice. Buttery Christmas spice. Mild touch of vanilla today.

Sorry folks no critiques tonight. I tried Jack Sinatra and old fitz and they tasted bitter. Something definitely wrong with the taste buds tonight. Will try tomorrow it’s still Thursday!

Glimmer. Believe it or not it was lake link that ruined me. One of the gents has past away. I used to post how they hooked me. So around 2017 I decided to try to learn how to sip and pull flavors from wine and whiskey. Wine was easy but boring dry and sour. I do drink it once in a while. Whiskey was very challenging. The pallet is for ever changing and brings lot’s of obstacles. I became pretty good. Being able to chew and roll high proof in the mouth. Took a while. Remember smell is part of tasting. Make sure you have a clean nose. Read up on it and practice. That’s what I did. Someone on LL once said I cannot be a redneck cause I am to refined. I taught myself that also. I might not always act like a redneck but enjoy redneck activities. So sorry I am not a writer but should have been. Lol. Teachers always told me that. Am I in with the liqour store and bar owners. Absolutely. Don’t listen to these guys on this thread. I am a nice man. Some say a bit humorous. Not sure why. I try to be serious and people laugh. I buy lots of liquor from these guys. Not sure if you know but I drink every Thursday and Wednesday. Also takes years to get these guys on your side. But they know I have a-lot of friends that frequent their places. Also I have been known to do a block Liquor run. Here’s a list now fill the back of the truck pronto. Also I do taste for them and critique what is needed. Hope that helps.
