This can include all whiskeys that are not bourbon. Irish, Japanese and malt whiskies. This 16 year is incredible. Very smooth.

Really coming to love this Cadenhead 18 yr. Tastes just like the pallet info on the bottle states.

So here’s a bottle if you guys don’t want to spend a lot of money, I suggest you get. The ancient age. The aroma is vanilla, caramel and banana. The taste is pretty much the same with a little bit of Karmelkorn flavor. There is a bit of honey in there as well. very inexpensive bottle and better than some of the Buffalo trace and that very old Barton that you are drinking.

Michters 10 year rye is definitely my favorite rye. Close and cinnamon and just a sweetness that is unbeatable.

Woodford reserve, 125.8 batch proof masters collection. I love this bottle. It does have an organ tobacco presence, but the nut and nutmeg breaks through to comb the tobacco and oke down a bit. I love their master collection. It has an aroma of a little bit of like a cherry soda. The color is a deep, gorgeous, dark brown we looked at through the light.

Thanks snake. The Corazon from William Weller Larue barrels. Just amazing. Chocolate and cinnamon with a hot red pepper spice. But just a tad spice. Love it. Very sweet and good.

BMR, People who make comments about other people, judge other people , always think what they think is the only correct way. These people are in every nook of life out there. Yes, even on Lake Link. These type of people usually have a complex they have never outgrown. I wouldn’t worry about them. (I know you don’t worry about all the Karen’s out there). Lol

Greetings, as I start to get healthier I will be able to critique and post a little bit more.  I want to make something very clear. Not sure what the impressions are but when I drink whiskey, I do not get slopped up, drunk, stupid or anything close to that. If I report out on six bottles, I guarantee you between all six bottles, I may only have a total of two shots in me. And over 300 pounds that does not put very much pressure or stress on my system. I am very thankful that there are some people that have commented and have stated, and they must think that I am a boozer for doing that but thank you very much for the concern of my safety.  I assure you if everything wasn’t functioning correctly or I was still on meds, I would not be sampling. Except maybe to wet the roof of the mouth and get a flavor LOL. So tonight I will continue with some fine whiskey critiquing. So BMR is due and he’s about to have a little bit of fun!

Ok guys I am not supposed to be drinking right now. A few friends come over and wanted to try the new riff malted rye. I opened the bottle for them. They said just take a taste. Ok so I did. Just enough to get the flavor. But enough to be presently surprised. On the nose possibly peppermint and definitely oatmeal raisin cookie. Tastes of all mixed fruit. Plum is in there. Distinct ginger. Like a ginger snap cookie. Very interesting. Wish I could have a pour and not 100th of a shot.

So Buckhound, elaborate a bit on this John Barr if u wood b so kind. How Much? Where is it from? I assume it’s blended like JWB?
I will definitely try if its less $ cause I think JWB IS OVERPRICED. However, hard to tell cause all booze is high here in Central Wi. Except Kessler & Windsor. Unfortunately those are the two most commonly served whiskeys. However the good thing is that if you perchance upon a bar that has much Scotch ( other than a supper club) theywill give you a pour that will blow your mind, because they have no clue…Don’t jump in your truck to get up here fellas, best you’ll probably find is DeWars/J&B.
I’m dutifully blessed now, my Mom lives in a home in Madison, across from a Woodmans, and Daughter in Milwaukee with an Otto’s kittycorner so I’m able to pay reasonable $ for great selections, finally…But cannot justify the amount some of these high end guys on these posts do. More power to em, enjoy their posts - bet my liver no worse than theirs haha

Glimmer, Black Johnny is what I  drink normally. The woman at aTrigs asked me to just try JOHN BARR. It tastes to me like a clone... that's me, I'd love to drop the coin that BMR does. Some day..

Sitting in the backyard, having a tremendous pour of Caribou Crossing single barrel. The marshmallow, corn, caramel, and vanilla. Sweetness is just awesome. Do you want to talk about a smooth sipper with no spicy bite at the end this is it!

Sinatra came out 2011. Diff versions of blue are out there. The 190 to 200 is just fine. I recommend the white or gold for half the price. I like them better.
