This can include all whiskeys that are not bourbon. Irish, Japanese and malt whiskies. This 16 year is incredible. Very smooth.

Maybe start with a monkey shoulder. But I will warn you all whiskey, drinking in general is not to try to cheap out on a bottle. That is not the way to go with whiskey drinking. Of course, the more you pay the more elegant the taste of course there are a few exceptions. Just a reminder to those who try scotch once or twice in there life and then say that it is terrible. Just an FYI. Don’t give up their bottles for you!
Well, just finished another bottle of the yamazaki 12 year Japanese whiskey. Great aroma of apple, peaches and cinnamon. The flavor is very floral, with cinnamon and vanilla being prevalent. Love this 12 year I still have not bought a bottle of the 18 year due to the fact that I still love the 12 year. Great whiskey!
BMR, Woodmans did not have that Aincient Age whiskey you recommended some posts back. I really took my time and searched the aisle to no avail. Of course the lazy b a s t a r d working behind the checkout was no help, just said it would be with other whiskeys…
I’ ll tty Ottos in Milwaukee when I get down there… do u recall where u got it?

Man I am in for a treat, and I guess you’re too with this critique. The extremely rare Glenmorangie 18 year. You know I am very fond of this excellent scotch. Peaches and cream, nectarines, tangerines, butterscotch, toffee this is just a sweet flavor explosion! Almost out of this bottle will be picking one up this weekend. Good thing I know somebody because it is extremely rare.
Had to run down to Sun Prairie today and bring me poor 91 year old Ma a new tv, hook it up etc.
When I left treated meself to aisle wandering at Woodmans. Came home with pictured, saved a fortune compared to what I’d pay in Central Wi.
Buckhound. If you’re still out there that John Barr scotch is fantastic! It is as good or better IMHO to Johnny Walker Black, and like half the price!!!
Thanks for recommmending!

Yes it’s a bourbon with 21% rye. The devils river is around 25 to 30 bucks a bottle. Honey and caramel to the taste with a bite of rye. The aroma is peppery. Not bad could be a few bucks cheaper in my opinion. This is out of Texas. Putting it in some old fashions tonight for the 9pm huge basketball game.
