How good are Johnson Outboard Motors?

I have been a Mercury Motor man and have been satisfied. I am looking at purchasing a new 16 ft. Crestliner. Included in the deal is a 60 hp 4 stroke Johnson Motor. What are your thoughts on Johnson Motors? Thanks Tiny

My last 2 boats had Johnson's on them. Had a 2001 50 horse Seahorse and a 2004 140 4 stroke. Never had a problem with either one. Outstanding motors! You won't be disappointed with your Johnson.

I would get the Johnson motor with out thinking twice about it. I have a 03 Johnson 140 4 stroke.I have no complaints with this motor. Very nice motor.

The new johnny 4-strokes are suzuki blocks and probably the best four stroke motors out there as far as durability and dependability. Not to mention a great service and warranty. Not the fastest or lightest though. Take your pick at what you want, probably the only more dependable 4-stroke out there is a honda, but when it comes to 4-strokes they are all more dependable as far as starting than any two stroke.

i am not sure about the new ones , but i love the older ones , mercs run great till theres a problem , hard 2 work on , omc is is allot easier to work on
