Just wondering how deep it gets. I pretty sure I wont have a skiff for it, but have waders to walk out. PM me if you'd like.

Thanks

Hunted last night with a buddy from 4:30 till close 6:27 East on the Eau Plane river off of the “O” Boat launch (I think). Saw all of 6 ducks to include the night flight and drive back to the landing. Saw 1 high flock of geese and heard about 8 shots.

I knew I should have gone Bow hunting Crying

Went out on Thursday (10-01). Tried Smokey Hill Flowage with no luck, no water in that flowage. Read on the Mead website that they have been losing 2-3 inches of water a week in the flowages due to lack of rain.

Ten years ago you could shoot a mixed bag limit on opening day there. Ducks everywhere!! I just cant understand what went sour at the Mead. I decided to skip it this year. what was the water level like?

Yea thats kinda what i thought was going on. all the woodys you could ask for but i didn't see much of anything else opening day. then at least for me mead went down the drain after opening, maybe i was just sitting on a bad pothole.

There was a TON of shooting for the opener. I know 5 guys that hunted S. Rice and ended up with 7 all day. He said prior to the 9 am start it was the most birds he had ever seen there in the morning. I Hunted East of the "o" landing and I'm pretty sure all most all of the 50 some boats that put in down there had their limit of woddies but not mutch else.
