Stanley thermos problem
2/15/10 @ 5:17 PM
I recently purchased the Stanley Classic stainless steel vacuum bottle. The problem is , it wont keep anything hot . . Within two hours when I put in hot coffee , it is so cold it is undrinkable. Finally after the first month , I put boiling hot water into it. The outside of the thermos bottle was so hot you couldn't hold onto it. 45 minutes later , I dumped the water and put in very hot coffee, two hours later , it wasn't even luke warm. I've owned these thermos's for years and never had this problem . I brought it back to where I bought it today and told them I didn't have a receipt , but it was guarantied for life. . Walmart informed me they didn't have the warranty, Stanley did ............. it must be an insulation problem , with the outside of the bottle getting hot to the touch when I have hot water in it

someone on LL who works at True Value told me to come in and they would replace the bottle , no questions asked... They said it lost the vacuum.. Twelve hours into work last night , I had a nice hot cup of coffee . I was in coffee heaven. ...... let me be there, I dont drink or smoke , I still like the coffee though, I have went to perfect blend , kind of a half and half caffiene

I had the same problem several years ago with a "Thermos" brand stainless steel bottle. I was able to take mine back directly to the company office and get a replacement. Well the second one did the same thing, so back again and the customer service gals asks if I would like the lab to test it first (duh). Third times a charm. I asked what the problem was and she said " they lost the vacuum" Hope this helps you. Arlo
