Great Father’s Day weekend on Shawano Lake.  Boated a 50” with my son in the boat. He did perfect on the net. Fish still swimming!

Windy day, started bad ended good. Caught a lot. Bluegill, pumpkinseed, perch, crappie and a bass. Caught mostly crappie when we found them in 5 to 10 feet over cabbage weeds. 2" twister tails and cubby jigs.

Fishwalleye  there are lots of areas were it gets shallow quickly.  Pay attention to your depth.  There are sandbars that are not marked. Around the island is shallow. I was there over the holiday weekend and did good for crappies on Cecil bay.  Good luck

Looking to fish Shawano for the 1st time on a boat. Is there anywhere I should stay away from? Any rocks or deadheads anywhere? I will be running a 19' fiberglass boat. Any advice would be appreciated!
