I think it is a vmc jig that came in a multi color blister pack.  Perch colored.   One of the eyes popped off.  It didn't matter.  I have probably caught 150 plus fish on that jig.  I've used two plastics.   The other was a 2" eurotackle paddle tail in bluegill.  That one wore out and lost it's color and smaller fish eventually started pulling it off the hook.  But it caught a lot of fish too.   The blue and clear eurotackle tail was effective too until a large bass broke me off.

Here is a pic of the jig and tail.   This year I told myself I am going to focus on fishing with plastics.  It's tough though when your FIL is pulling them in one after the other using worms.  But every fish I caught was a keeper.   Bunch of bass and a big rock bass.  I lost a few in the weeds too.

Fished from 10-1:30 today.  It was windy but we did manage to catch a bunch of fish  Bass, blue gills, sunfish and a perch.  Worms worked best for numbers, for size it was plastics.  Well one plastic.  I used a zman shad fryz in purple death with a 1/32nd ounce jig.   I'm not trying to shill a product but that tail has fished Lilly Lake, The Bay and Now Shawano Lake.  Easily 75 fish taken with it including large mouth, small mouth and big cats and it still looks like it just came out of the package.

Was up with the family this past week, weather warmed up and the panfish and bass moved in on the north side near the county park where our Air B&B was.

Each day we had our 10-20 for dinner.

Wednesday the gills and sunfish moved into 4-5 feet of water and my son and daughter caught at least 30-40 that were 7-9 inches.
Ice jig on a rocket bobber with a chunk of crawler.

Each night, worked the docks and bass were snapping.
6-10 bass a night. Small average size, about 14-15 inch but to a 13 year old aspiring to fish bass tournaments , it filled his bucket and then some!!

We come to Shawano once a year, and this trip was probably the best!

If your up there, troll the northern bay this next week and search for the weeds sticking up near docks.
You’ll catch great gills, sunfish and bass!

We caught a few blue gills, a few crappies, a bass, a nice pike, a rock bass and a bull head.

Good time.  No giants.  Enough for a meal.

Wod - I live in Waupaca near the chain 'o lakes, roughly an hour south of Shawano. Water temps here are now in the mid 50's and with a burst of heat coming next week, we might see temps in the low 60's before we know it. Based on the size of Shawano Lake, I would  bet the water temp is pretty close to the lakes here in Waupaca.  Bring some O&H kringles with ya and please save me a piece of cherry kringle!  Hope this helps and good luck!!
