This morning, we fished with a very nice father-son team who have caught fish numerous times on both Castle Rock and Petenwell flowages. Today, we fished from 7 am till noon. The water temperature remained in the upper 70's throughout the trip. The winds initially came out of the south-southeast, shifting directions a couple of times. We utilized OR12 offshore Tackle planer boards and crankbaits, trolling at a speed of 2-2.2 mph, which proved effective. However, we did encounter challenges with floating weeds, grass, and 4-7" white bass. Once past the chaotic areas, the fish were very active, aggressively striking the crankbaits and taking the boards back quickly. Www.greenwaterwalleyes.com let’s go fishing!🇺🇸😁🎣🎣

Great morning on the Flowage with a very nice father and son team from western Wisconsin! We launched the boat at 6 am and fished till 11 am. Water temperature was in the mid to upper 70’s the entire trip. Today we started jigging for the first 3 hours, Daggin jig tipped with crawler working best, worked up and down the edge of channel in 14-20 feet of water in heavy wood cover. Last couple put OR12 Offshore Tackle Boards to work, in 5-10 feet of water 2-2.2 for speed.

Ice: 18"
I fished the Yellow River side of the lake yesterday from 8 am until 4:30 pm and everyone was driving all over, at least from the Dirty Turtle. I had 18 inches of ice where I was. As for the fishing, it was real good in the morning in the river channel, catching crappie, a few small walleyes, few tiny white bass,1 perch and 1 bluegill between the 5 of us that fished. In the afternoon it mostly shut down. My buddie's friend did have something real big on that snapped his line when it got close to the hole. Half hour later his tipup was screaming line and he set the hook and instantly snapped his line then too, so something big was probably going after those white bass!
