So who has been out shooting? What do you like and why? Post some scores!! Are leagues worth it or should a shooter just go out for fun? Lets get a forum going and maybe get together and shoot!!

That's what I was looking for . I am using my 20 for sporting clays  , so I don't need velocity,  just spread  . Plus what 200 for a new Mec can buy a lot of shells .

Thanks

Strange... I was just posed with the same question yesterday from one of my shooting partners. We both reload premium 12 loads for almost half of what we can buy premium 12 for. He asked if it could happen for 20 as well. What we found out was that if hulls we free, paying for powder, shot, wads,  and primers.... It could be done for right around $5 a box.

Wow , complicated table .  Just wondering if it's worthwhile if I can make 20s for less than 5.00 . I do load my 12s .

Depends on how much quantity you buy at a time. Go to trapshooters.com and there is a calculator there to tell you what it costs/box.

With the rise in price of components  , about what does it cost to reload a box of trap shells  .

Arch sporting clays at Wern Valley on June 18th.  Still room for a great charitable cause .

Not sure about doubles, buddy of mine took Handicap with a 97; dropped the last target!  There was a 16 year-old, out of zone, that broke a 98.

What won Doubles and Handicap on Sunday? Couldn't shoot that day.

Lost, 23-22 but shotoff against an old friend of 25+ years.  We shotoff somewhere around '95 but neither could remember who won that one.

Shot 600 targets Friday and Saturday combined. Weather was perfect both days. Didn't shoot the best, except for handicap yesterday with a 92. What a fun weekend! Taking a couple weeks off til next shoot.

Tim

P.S. Saw Igor yesterday at the shoot. How did you do in your shoot off?

We are very close.. I live in Wales.. I am in Canada right now so when I get back I’ll talk to her about giving it a whirl. She is pretty pumped about her SKB tho...

Grizzly: where do you live?  My wife shoots a Beretta 390, the predecessor to the 391, and absolutely loves it.  Now I didn't read all the responses but the fit is CRITICAL.  I actually won the gun and she wanted it to start shooting Trap so we had the stock fitted to her by Doug Braker and off she went.

If you would like to try it out, I live in Pewaukee and we'd be more than happy too meet with you somewhere to give it a whirl.

Not that I have gotten much feed back but from the few that have gotten back to me with suggestions and information, this is where I am at with my girlfriends shotgun choice. The Beretta 391 was a no right away, the Remington 1100 fit her well and she shot good with it, but the winner for her was the SKB HS300 Hybrid. She claims that it is smoother than the 1100 and it fit her just as good. Recoil is minimal and she hit targets with it well. In the mean time, I fired some rounds down range with a Remington 1100 Competition.... I really liked it... I could see one in my future.

I have a Winchester SuperX2, which is the twin of the Browning Gold. Great gun! No experience with the other 2 but from what I have heard the Beretta is a good choice. Heard too many stories about the 1100. Like, have a tool kit on hand with all the extra parts needed to replace whatever may fail.
