The boat house is open $10 to park $30 for a boat...no gas motors electric only on rentals.. went out Saturday 3 snakes 2 small bass all on tip ups
yes there are alot of lakes in the area. Haven't been to lake five in 10 yrs. if its a dead sea, can always pick up an go north. ive heard rumors that the lake is not what it used to be.. but have to see for myself
You can goto several other lakes in the area and get 6 in gills and not hafta pay 10$ to park, goodfishin.
just got off the phne with the owner of the lake5 Mobile station, and they still allow ice fishing parking across from the house.. the lady who owned it passes away, new owners still rent
Edited sorry I don't know about the walking on but when the some what rude old lady made us carry our flip over over the fences down the path to the lake she would not let us go to the left side of the house with no fence. Hopefully the new owner is not like her
I haven't been there for years ether. it's under new ownership for a year or two now maybe more. I don't know what thay are charging
Are they allowing people pay to park at the old lady/owners house? i havent been here in over 5 years...used to be fun for some snakes and a few nice bass, always CPR..or is it dead sea?
Yes, I drive past there and I've seen people out in the row boats. I think they have a drop box for the $$ if no one is around.
Hello, does anyone know if there is still boat rentals on Lake 5?
I was thinking about taking my daughter out sometime soon, but it's quite a drive for us. Thanks!
Where can you park to fish this lake? Do the people on the bend still charge to park in the parking lot?
31° - 35° F
I saw 2 guys out over the weekend out from the boat livery and they drilled a bunch of holes from shore to the middle of the lake and watched them fish for a couple hours. Yesterday a guy was fishing across the lake from the livery and on Tuesday I watched 3 guys fish the west side of the lake and set out tip ups in 8-10' fow. They used a spud bar and left chunks of ice about 5" thick on the ice. Seems safe right now, making ice at night and not so much during the day. Use discretion crossing the lake and tight lines.
