I’ve had decent luck for walleyes using slip bobbers in the evening on deep weed lines in about 12’ of water. After dark can be good also in about the same depth.
Cisco Chain, Vilas County
|@ the lake|
Greetings everyone. I am heading to the Cisco Chain this weekend for some walleye and musky fishing. Does anyone have any reports or tips on locations or technique? I appreciate any input. Thanks and good luck all.
Just got back from the Cisco Chain. We stayed on Thousand Island and the fishing was slow for us and others at our resort I talked to.
We fished Thousand Island, Record and Africa. I heard about a decent bite on Cisco, but never followed up on it.
The weeds are just starting to emerge and I expect in the next two weeks that the bite will really turn on.
Coming up June 1. Big Lake, any walleye and crappie reports, spots, etc., thanks, guys.
54-56 degrees on Big Lake Friday. Cooled off a few degrees on Saturday. Released two Musky 34 and 26in looking for crappie on Tenderfoot over the weekend.
56ish before the weekend cold weather.
Anyone been out on the chain? Just curious what the water temps are. Trying to figure out what the status will be for the musky opener (post or pre spawn??)
Thanks for the info, everyone. We'll grab the Michigan license and have run of the whole chain. We're not going until mid-June but I'll be sure to post a report after the trip is up. Appreciate all the feedback!!
Non residents is $76 annual, $10 for the day.
Enjoy the trip trip with your Dad, spend a little money. You won’t have any regrets.
