HI all,

I'm with the Great Lakes Observing System, a non-profit based in Michigan that helps provide real-time Great Lakes conditions to the public through Seagull.glos.org. We are starting a new project to improve ice prediction models by collecting ice thickness measurements from ice recreators. We are hosting a 2 hour evening workshop on Monday, December 9th from 6:30-8:30 pm at UW-Green Bay's STEM Innovation Center. We will share more about the project and our need, then hope to hear from the ice fishing community about your current practices, what's feasible, and answer questions. We'll also have snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

I see you're already submitting data here -- so I'm also hoping we don't have to reinvent the wheel for you all!
