Looking for Marlin 30-30 for new hunter

Looking for a used Marlin 30/30 with a scope or not for my young son who is hunting next year.  He loves my WIN model 94 30/30 but I wont let him use it for safety concerns.  This is the gun he wants.  We arent interested in anything else.  Thanks

I was at Walmart today picking up fishing supplies and I noticed they had 30-30 on the shelf.
It can be found.

There is always 30-30 ammo at the gun shows. I looked on Gunbroker.com this morning and there was 405 listings for 30-30 shells. 35Rem is another story, it is hard to get and expensive.

Check your local gun shows. There is always ammo to be found at the shows. It maybe a little higher priced but if you need it, someone will usually have it. 

I have not been able to find any 30 30 either.

Follow up to old post-did finally find some .35 remington ammo. Both the Hornady & the remington  core lockt now  $59.88 to $61.88 a box!!! Absolutely ridiculous since the other calibers likec.243 to 30.06 have gone up only $10 a box…. 

Just A QUICK PIECE OF ADVICE- DON'T BUY YOUR RIFLE USED IN .35 CALIBER.

Marlin 303a has a safety on it... My brother borrowed mine about 15 years ago haven't seen it since... Guess he is keeping it ..
