I like Lamers nog. Darn good. I don't heat it. Whiskey should kill the bad stuff. LOL

Up til 40 years ago my mom would make egg nog and there was few things better than fresh egg nog.

Nowdays it needs to be heated due to frequency of bacteria.  Did a google search and yes you can still make your own   egg nog here  .  looks like you heat it to 160

Egg Nog and whiskey season is coming to a close. That sucks. Until next year. I sure hope egg nog doesn't go up in price.Just one more item of Bidenomics.

How much was that Corazon Tacoeye? I’ve heard the Corazon is smooth.

Just bought my wife a bottle of Field of Dreams bourbon for Christmas. Former MLB pitcher Drew Storen and other former players contracted to get the corn grown in the field in Dyersville, IA to have small batches made, I am not a bourbon drinker. Hope she enjoys it.

If any of you bourbon fans are in/near Illinois, Binney's has some really good prices until the end of the month (Sept. is Bourbon Month). Couldn't attach the link, but they 're easy enough to find on line.

Picked up A bottle of Blood Oath pact 10 the other day and managed a bottle of eh taylor bib today . Bhess, a lot of people like michters rye, there are several variations from them $40-$300, limousine rye is a good one, distilled in cambridge wi... jack daniels single barrel cask rye is a good one. Driftless glen rye is good, i currently have a driftless glenn 8 year single barrel store pick that is worth buying as a gift for someone as it is unique .

Have a buddy turning 60, he likes Rye Bourbon, and I'd like to get him something nice that he will enjoy.

Any suggestions?  He's a good bud, don't mind spending a bit.

Thank you!

Stopped in portage liquor and Sonny presented me with a single barrel store pick tequila that was aged in blanton barrels . I am not a tequila "sipper" so i said no thanks. Then he gave me a sample shot and I had to have a bottle.. it is soo good i feel like i have been missing out . After 2 drinks i was ordering chimichangas . If you see Corazon single barrel aged in blantons, get it. I will be going back for another

I still think it's grown on the south end of a northbound buffalo...

I didn't like it at first either.  It's grown on me.  I seem to like it better in the winter when I want a little more "sour" than sweet.  I know guys that love that stuff, so when I see it at a good price, I pick up a bottle or two for them, but I've had my same bottle for like two years now and it is only half gone.

To me, I put Buffalo Trace right next to Early Times BIB in taste.  I am not a fan of either one at all.

Buffalo Trace is a weird bottle.  Sometimes I see it for $28-$32.  Sometimes I see at $42-$52.
I didn't like it all when I first tried it.  Now?  7-8 years later?  It's fine.  Not one of my favorites, but fine.
I'm still working on a bottle that is 2 years old now, since opening.
I will say that there is a lot of better stuff out there, tons actually, but in that $35 range, it is a good bottle to have.
