Saw Juneau County had a hunting forum so figured I'd start one up for the hunters in Adams County.  Feel free to post trail cam pics as well as sightings and harvests.

Brother in law arrowhead a 3.5 yo pointer on Monday afternoon. Big bodied buck with a gnarly rack.  He was coming to check out the girls.

Blast from the past. Harvested this big 10 point on October 29th 2012 in Adams County just outside of Oxford, Close to Parker Lake.

12 yard shot, went 80 yards.

Anybody been out this season?  Our property has been slow.  We've seen a few does and a small 6 pointer so far on a few hunts.  Trail cameras haven't been showing much excitement.

same here, the 2 of us hunted pretty much all of saturday, sunday and monday a.m.  Missed one doe saw 2 or 3 others but that was it.  Very quiet, and again it seems like fewer hunters every year. Heavy deer sign, but not much movement.  Blame some it on us bow hunters being out the past couple months, guys shooting there guns the weekend before season and the mild weather keeping deer bedded down. Think they've mostly gone nocturnal.

Hunted opening day with my dad and brother.  Dad and brother didn't see a thing.  I saw a group of 7 or 8 does saturday evening and that was that.  Not much shooting by us.

I too hunt Adams, (northern) Was out this past weekend in the cold. So 3-4 each time out, mostly does.  One small buck was chasing a doe.  A couple larger bucks seen on camera have yet to be seen.

Congrats BassMaster! Nothing wrong with that buck at all. I'm in the same boat as you as far as pics and action. I'm sure you were celebrating! Nice job!

Awesome bucks everyone!  I managed to put this little 8 on the ground with the bow.  Usually would try and wait for something a little bigger but after not seeing a single deer the first 2 and a half days of my rutcation I was ready to let one fly lol went about 30 yards and piled up.  This was by far the slowest season as far as sightings and trail cam pics go.  Not sure what changed ??‍?? either way there is nothing better than being out in the stand.

Doe numbers seem way to low. Killing off all the deer hasn't proven to cure cwd. A few good bucks hiding as usual very wary in adams. Not sure whats happened with rut so far?

Bass Master, Was up last weekend for a 3 day hunt and although I didn't connect I had action including a trophy chasing a nice doe. I have never seen so many scrapes on my property! You picked a good week! Good luck! Hunting Old unit 53
