Its beautiful and serene (when no celebration is occuring). Fishing is on and off like any other pond, depending on water level and temperature. I enjoy catch and release so that others can benefit from the landing experience. Fishing is better when the water level is up and water temp is around 63 to 67 degrees. Oakville hours of operation are generally 8AM to 4PM which is not always the prime fishing time but I fish for pleasure and I like Oakville Pond History as well. You must visit the Indian Artifacts Museum on your visit.
