Lake Winnebago

Was out with the wife today. Launched out of Black Wolf and was a much different story than yesterday. Wife got skunked and I got 3 eyes and 3 Sheep 🐑. Launched at 9:30am and left at 3:30pm. 

Has any any perch action started

Launched off of Black Wolf at 9:30am and left at 3:30pm. 2 guys = 15 eyes and tons of Sheep. All were caught in 7 feet of water on jig and half a crawler. Leeches and slip bobbers didn’t produce today.  

Late report from Tuesday.  No the flies were not bad at all.
Couldn't find the 'eyes off Fisherman's Rd.
Picked up one 16" smallie and about 6 goats on slip bobbers in 6-8' water.

Dragged this big branch back to the launch.  

2 of us fished today 9am-1pm. Limit of eyes, 1 whitebass and 1 sheepshead. Didn't see any lake flies.

The lake flies are out but tolerable. My guess with the warm weather they will increase. 

Anyone have any comments on the lakeflies so far?
Are they out? Are they tolerable?

Fished out of Black Wolf yesterday from 11am to 4pm. The bite was very good for the first hour or so, then the wind died down and nothing. Everyone around us was catching eyes until the wind shifted and the sun came out. Ended up with 6 eyes between the both of us. 

We fished Lake Winnebago 5/14/26 out of Black Wolf Launch and stayed on the west shoreline fishing North Fond du Lac to Oshkosh hitting rocky shorelines and shallow reefs. We finished the day with 1 smallmouth bass caught on a 1/4oz tungsten jighead and paddle tail and two walleye caught on a slip bobber and leech. Water temperature was 56-58 degrees. It might not have been the best numbers wise, but it’s always great to get out there and do some exploring!
