If there is anyone who hunts coyotes maybe you could help me out. I hunt some land near golden lake and I know that there is a pack of yotes on the public land north of me, but I never see them on the land I hunt. So just wondering, how far will a coyote travel if I try calling for them? and what is the best time to hunt for them?

New yote hunter coming out. I have been scouting a few areas near me and plan on going this coming weekend. Haven't had much luck fond nding tracks but going to give it a try. When are you seeing most of your dogs?

Anyone have any experience with this call?  Is electronic calls the way to go or are mouth calls better?

Time of year again to go after some dogs.  I have not been an active hunter of anything for number of years, yeah I get out deer hunting several days a year, haven't done much for small game in probably 15 years, just started getting into coyote hunting the last couple years and am still learning.  The one thing I can say is that no matter what I do go into the field for, I enjoy just being out there whether I actually succeed in taking an animal or not.

How did the hunters up there feel about the wolf people just shifting gears towards coyotes now that they have stalled wolf management?

Even with the unwanted publicity the hunt / gathering of hunters in Forest County went off pretty well from what I saw posted from those folks. Our Hunting rights are just as important as the protesters rights to disagree with us.

Well what a morning. Wife is pregnant so she was up at 1230. I got up as well and looked out the window and could see a long way into the woods. Almost full moon. I have never tried yote hunting at night. So dog and I walk down the road about a mile from home. Yotes are howling all over. I set up in my farmers field. Had fox pro and bunny decoy. I howled on off for 15 min. Nada. Started rabbit squeel. Nada. Tried again with howl then squeel. At this point my dog is like dude really I am cold and tired. I look out probably 400 yds and see two dogs coming my way. As they get 200 yds my dog sees them and takes off. The female I think did not like that and took off. The male did not like my canine eating his meal. He got within 25 yds of the caller decoy and dog. One shot. I just got done skinning him out. It was honestly one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed while hunting. Sorry for long post but now I am addicted

I have called in 7 the last few times out but haven't taken any shots. They are tricky! Seem to always pop up where I least expect them to...
