2018 updates from the field

Wanted to start the 2018 updates from the field.  Sometimes helps to know what is going on with patterns and movement.  Sometimes is just the little more motivation to sit an additional hour.  Look forward to adding to here Saturday morning for the opener.

 4 doe 2 small bucks cashin hard came by 3 times that was 9 am nothing since , all day sit ! 

Just had a nice buck work some cover in front of me and then turn and come straight under my stand. Never once stopped, definitely out looking for the ladies.

I know I should be buck hunting, but the freezer is bare.  Saw 5, one small buck. Got a doe.  She had already been loved.  Don’t ask how I know.

5 bucks n 3 does so far 1 big one stayed out about 60 yards cruising threw thicket head down tried grunting at him never even reacted he was on mission .... good luck to all 

 1 doe is all so far. UGH 

Saw big bodied deer before shooting time and a nice 8pt around 8 slowly cruising. All day sit is the plan.  No wind

Had something walk by in the dark and just had a smallish 8 walk by at 20 yards.

Got to my stand about an hour ago and realized I forgot to put my jacket in my pack. Going to be chilly sit!

I have gotten texts from the woods and friends that agree.  It is on.  Will sit all day (hopefully not...), reports to come tomorrow.

 Yup now is the time 3 bucks in 5 minutes around 9 nothing since all day sitting today and tomorrow ! Almost got shot at an ok 8 but to risky for me ! 30 yards and little brushy good luck and congrats all

Had a big 8 chasing a doe all over this morning at 730. Never had a shot. Can't shoot a running deer with a bow.  Starting to  heat up.
