Wanted to start the 2018 updates from the field. Sometimes helps to know what is going on with patterns and movement. Sometimes is just the little more motivation to sit an additional hour. Look forward to adding to here Saturday morning for the opener.

2018 updates from the field
Did not go out yesterday so instead of driving home decided to go out hunting until 9am. Saw one big buck right next to my stand at 5am, one decent buck walked past at about 5:50am, one nubby fawn. Marquette.
Hunted Jackson county on Saturday and saw a lot of deer but got nothing. My cousin did however get lucky and at 6pm connected with a real nice 9 pointer with 17 1/2 inch spread and 10 inch g2's. Probably a high 130's buck
Whew! Got wet Sunday morning in marathon county but saw two does walking in wet snow. Nothing Saturday am or pm but it sure was beautiful in the woods. Really expecting something to show cause...it's THAT time of the year! Get out and enjoy cause they're on their feet and following their nose to the girls! Good luck!
Deer slow in Crawford county, couple of doe, nice 8 mid morning, sailed one over his back. That took care of Friday. Saturday morning 3 doe early I passed, about nine a small fork can in passed again with rain in afternoon and all day today that might have been a mistake. Back on Thursday............
