Went out with some clients from Chicago this evening and the fish were sure active! Fishing the surface of the rapids was the ticket!
Heard today that 6 fish tested positive for Mad Fish Disease. They said it may or may not be harmful to humans. They recommended having your friend try them first.
Thanks Boogie. My Uncle Kenneth said their might be crappies in there too.
I hear Stu Pidasso is the guide to hire. Lots of experince.....
Well folks if you can get out there before the bite ends I would recommend it. I wanted some kids I know to get on some action so they skipped school and we hit the water early. Set line around 530 this morning and primary worked the harbor and in and out of the gap. Caught a mix bag mostly on flicker shads. Not much boat traffic until around 9. We headed in around 1030 with our limit, loaded the boat and had a great conversation with the harbor master. He gave me some tips I might try in the AM.
Since the limits are going down soon I doubled up this morning! Could have kept more but I saw the warden coming (under cover)! Snagged them all. Make long casts and just start ripping!
My son and I are going to give it a try on Saturday. I'll be trying out my new Depth Raider so that I can be sure to stay above the thermocline and know what my trolling speed is. Does the DNR have any fike nets that I should be worried about hooking on to?
Can anyone recommend a guide, first timer and don’t know the pond
The brown trout in that room are not good to eat. Stick with the trout pond because it is the largest trout pond in the world!
I’m fishing this body of water for the 1st time. Wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. Don’t need your secret spot just general area. I am also taking my kids so want to get them on fish.
