I have really been struggling and see all these great reports. I am not asking for your secret spot or any gps coordinates but a few tips would be appreciated! Maybe just depth you were fishing and live bait or? Thanks in advance and if you dont want to post you can always PM me! LOL!
Gill,
I only brought minnows because I wanted to see if anything moved faster than you do getting out of your recliner in spring...
As for the stamp - I figured if I got caught, I’d just tell the warden I was your caregiver and I was "scouting" for your annual 15 minute outing.
Side note: I did t see any room for a recliner at the casting pier!

Left the launch before dawn today, and lucky that I did because when I finally got out to my numbers, it looked like a friggin' parking lot!!!!!! Set both riggers out this morning, and I didn't even have the 2nd one set up yet as we had a swing and a miss on a monkey puke down 55. Then another swing and miss on the 2nd rigger as I was trying to finish getting all the lines in the water. This time it came on a Mr green jeans down 64. After that we had a little break in the action, but all of a sudden right at about 630am rods started popping and bangin' all over the place! I didn't have enough hands to grab all the rods and start reeling. TRIPLE HEADER!!!!!! Managed to land 2/3 with my buddy knocking off the biggest of the day so far with the net about 5ft behind the boat. Wasn't too long after that I got a call from the wife, she told me, ALL FLIES FROM THE STREAM, ALL FLIES FROM THE STREAM. And I knew what that meant, so we reeled in all the lines and ended up finding a dink stiff as a board that we had been dragging around with us on a dipsey back 145. I was wondering why that was the only rod we hadn't had a bite on all day.....got my answer right then and there. All fish except the 2 misses on downriggers all came on a super secret bait that not too many guys up here know about.......a little piece of American cheese you gotta keep in your pocket so she gets all nice n soft n greasy......n boy do them fishes sure go wild for that! But don't tell anyone else I told ya that. Or else by next year there won't be a single fish left out here for any of us to catch. TIGHT LINES!!!!!!
