DNR has been on my case about pulling the shanty but I can never seem to get there while the doors are open. I knew I shouldn't have put my name and number on it. I almost pulled it last week-stupid kids kept casting against it, making a racket...couldn't even watch Gillespie with all the noise. Get the Frabill!
Finally, pictures. Was beginning to think you Gents were all full of bs.

Report from yesterday. Went w/ copper blade Mepps #1 bucktail. 1st cast, overshot water (still rusty from winter). Snagged some guys beard across the lake. It was a good luck, sentimental lure so I didn't want to lose it. I naturally started to wade across to get my lure, but some warden type stopped me. Water specific rules getting more stringent all the time. Oh well, generally they work. I tried yanking it free and then there was a lot of yelling and commotion. I go troutin to relax, so I just left (quick). Get em next time.
I think i owe everyone an apology. I punched a hole with my jiffy E 6. I thought i may have hit something. Must have cuz a few minutes later the water was gone. Sorry.
J Ville bratwursts for everyone!
Found them out in the 200-300 foot break today. Pulling spoons and meat rigs with leadcore and downrigers. Only would hit up high at around 2.5 mph. Nothing on dodger fly combos which was odd.

The walleye bite is like nonexistent. Could anybody give me some tips, baits, waypoints? I'm a fetus that wants to dig up my 200 great grandfather. He hasnt been out in years
Can anyone give me some hints on where to fish. I have never been to this lake before and I have a 15 minute drive so I don't want to waste all my time driving there if it's no good. You don't have to give me your honey hole or anything like that, although GPS coordinates would be great. I'm all catch and release and am bringing my son and daughter to get them some action.
For as cold as its been, I want to drive my truck out. Me and the kids will chase boards all day! I'm even bringing the extension for my auger. Someone told me there is some water on top of the ice but, I should just drill right through. ;)
