I love the toddler in the seat on the boat-getting the babysitting and fishing in at the same time! I don't think my wife wants me taking our 4 month old out on the boat until next summer lol

I've caught pretty similar size structure and species throughout this year on Labelle-some nice channel cats, a few low 20's walleye, some white and yellow bass, and lots of rock bass, smallmouth, and smaller walleye.

Second time out on La Belle in as many weeks.  Same story.  Tons of yellow bass and walleye, a few really big largemouth and a handful of channel cats.  The one cat I got tonight hit a naked pimple and went close to 10#.  Casting and ripping jigging spoons has been best.  Crawlers getting the most catfish.  Big walleye today was 20.5" on a chatterbait of all things.  Find weeds, find fish.

I heard that Flatheads were introduced to the lake, in order to help minimize the carp poulation. I asume that did not have a great effect once the carp get too big to be eaten. Any one got any info on this? I asume thats why there is a closed season on them all year.

Yep, Carp. They have pushed all the good fish out of the area. Nobody's fishing there anymore.  I hate those things

Can anyone tell me what fish are congregating around the mouth of the dam, by the bridge on La Belle, on the shallow rocky beds on each side? They kinda look like carp, and some look pretty beefy, maybe 20-25” +. Maybe a foot of water….

Headed out today from the beach launch on my atv over to one of the bays. Really glad it's 4wd. It is really sloppy out there. 8 inches of snow on 2 inches of ice over 4 inches of water/slush and then 14 inches of ice. Fished between 30 and twelve feet of water and nothing. To be fair it's my first time on this lake. Any tips?

Yeah went out on Saturday morning off the beach for about 3 hours, couldn't mark a fish at all.  No structure to be found anywhere off the beach, so not surprising.  First time ice fishing this lake, probably won't be back anytime soon.
