Snowmobiles
Anyone else ready to ride?
The trails are State, and you do not have to be a club member to ride - you just have to purchase a State trail pass.
Being a club member just supports local clubs, grooming, trail breaking etc. Plus you get to meet others who enjoy the same hobby!
I had 98 Polaris xlt with 11000 miles on the original motor and still ran great before a accident caused it to sink in the lake oops lol and now have a 1996 xlt with 8300 miles on the original motor and still runs great! Take care of them and they'll take care of you. Got all the sleds ready and can't wait to get up to the cabin !!
My sled is ready also.. just ordered a spare belt for it... started it up with ease ran it for a bit..I bought my first sled last year bc here in southern Wisconsin the trails were awesome.. so far this year it is looking bleak but I own a small piece of property in Adams county right on the trail and they are expecting 4-8in of snow tomorrow.. only thing is warmer than average weather next week looks to ruin that...I got lucky last year and picked up a 2010 arctic cat crossfire 800 from an old timer for 2400 bucks.. for how clean the sled is I felt I got a heck of a deal
If any 2-stroke can go 12,000 certainly makes sense it’d be a Yami!
They do make good stuff!
12,000 miles on a 4-stroke or 2-stroke Skunky?
That’s a pile of miles for a 2-stroke!!!!
In years past, I’d get a new sled after around 5,000 miles or so…
I took a peek at new sled pricing, and holy smokes, not interested in that!
Just had Shoeders in Rhinelander clean the clutches, chain case service, belts, plugs, compression check etc.
Might have to start getting new sleds at 10,000 lol!
Ready to ride now! Just need some snow!
