If you like watching birds or have any comments about a cool bird in your yard or something, this would be a good place to discuss anything to do with birds.

First oriole of the year beautiful way too far away to get a good pic. I can hear them chattering all over.

Sonny number three sent these pictures at the learning to adult house in Fox lake il. Said they were at the feeder but he spooked them before he could get a better shot. Two male red heads, he hasn't seen any females.

Stray gosling wandered into the yard a few days ago.  Not sure where it wandered in from. I've only been seeing nesting Mallards and Wood ducks around the house.
Healthy as a horse and eating well. So cute when there this young.

Remember years ago I posted I had my tree branch cutter up in a tree that is red. The cardinal was attacking and trying to take it on is about 15 foot long over an inch diameter got a 14 inch blade on it and it was trying to fight it. Those cardinals  are tough.

They can yes. My Cardinals whip up on them. Jays don’t come around much anymore.

B&R#2 Aren't bluejays the same way? They have a mean streak in them too right?

crackles are really tearing up these squirrels right now. They defend all the nests in the backyard really well. The only problem is there’s gonna be a lot of baby grackles laying in the yard. There is every year it’s sad. But that’s the cycle of life. I found two sparrows or finches adults down in the backyard today. I have never seen this before, but I was wondering what a grackle had In its mouth. It must’ve attacked a bird. It got too close to its nest. they can be mean at times I love it when they start divebombing and tearing up the squirrels
