caught some walleyes on the chippewa flowage and when i began filleting them one had a tape worm looking critter coming out of its anus. it was whitish, long and very skinny-thin. actually two of them unless it had broken into two pcs. anyone ever see these before??

Tapeworms are really common in walleyes in some systems in the state. Just make sure you fully cook your fish and that will kill the egg masses encysted in the flesh.

Yeah, I've seen that already. I got a walleye a few weeks ago that had one too. It was almost 2 feet long. They seem to come out after the fish dies. Looks more like a white thread. I get fish with little white worms in the meat from certain lakes too. I just dig them out with my knife, although they would fry up anyway. Those little ones actually move when I take them out.
