I have to go with Mickey and say Tri-tronics. Two reasons: 1)very reliable and good battery life (current collar will run 3-4 days before re-charge). 2)DURABLE - My year old English Setter ran in front of my truck, and I ran her over with front right tire, back of head/neck/front shoulder area, and am VERY lucky she is alive. Best we can figure is Tri-tronics collar took brunt of the weight of truck. Had to super glue collar back to the receiver, and but a little silicon sealer to keep water tight, but Tri-tronics collar took a beating but still works like a charm.
I will be upgrading in the near future as my collar is getting close to 10 years old and isn't expandable to multiple dogs, and will definitely stay with Tri-tronics.
Just my 2 cents.
Starcraft- X2 on TY. Especially with that one shot system!
Dandigger- I always like to spend my money locally if not at least in the state first. That and service is more important than price especially with TT. Since they have a strict MAP policy. Price is supposed to be the same across the board. TT's way of trying to help keep the doors open at the local sport shop. A few $20 sales add up for the little guy!
I have a 10 yearold innotek underground fence system.
It has one shock option. "HARD AS HECK"
My dog is rounding 5 months right now..
I plan on getting a tritronic g3..
Should i hold off on the fence till she is collar conditioned?
Or should i teach her the bounderies using the g3 at a lower setting?
My first dog i started the fence at 6 months.. what do you guys think? It would be a LONG summer without the fence.
TY4 do you have an online page or anything to order the TT Sport Basic G3?? I'll be in the market for one in the next couple days now that I have my tax returns!! otherwise I'd be fine with paying 239 at gundogsupply, who I've purchased other stuff from before and are very happy with.
