Moose Sightings in Wisconsin

Just wondering how many of you are seeing moose in Wisconsin? I was up in Northern Oconto County coyote hunting last weekend and spotted my first moose in Wisconsin. It was spotted West of Boulder Lake in the Mountain area. I know there has been other sightings in the area as there was a picture of one in the Pioneer Press. And I have talked to a few others that have seen them too. I got pictures of it but they are with my cellphone so I was not able to zoom in on it very well.

last year we got a small bull on camera going into one of our food plots. Best part was was we had our cam set up to take videos at that point. so we got a nice little 15 sec video of the moose. here is the link to the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVk7jVU3M08&feature=plcp

Just north of the Wisconsin border (in the U.P.) I had moose tracks in a food plot last week. I was pumped since it walked past a trail camera, unfortunately no picture was taken of it.

My brother spotted one just north of Tigerton this morning. I also saw a young bull laying in shallow water on the Eagle River chain on a really hot Labor day weekend 13 or 14 years ago while checking out my duck hunting spot.

I did not intend to offend you. When you open the pictures you posted they have the same texture as an oil painting and did not appear to be a photograph and that was just my observation. I do not doubt that you saw a moose, there are a few wandering these parts. Hope you are able to snap some good pics

Trophy, If you read my post you will see that I took it with my cellphone so it is not a good picture. I had another person with me when I saw it. It's nice to see people on here that can verify my sighting be seeing the tracks of this moose in the area of my sighting. I will be in the area again this weekend hunting for thunder chickens I will have my camera with me this time. Actually ever since I saw this guy I have my camera sitting in the door of my truck just in case. I love people that go on this site and try to depict peoples encounters. Get a life.

We have a place in Doty also near Boulder lake. My son and I found some moose tracks yesterday after a neighbor told us there have been some sightings nearby.

My dad found a set of moose legs tied together in Navarino. This was back in the 70's.
