I checked out the launch yesterday. It's not that bad I'm glad to still have access, but I will not be able to get my 14' boat in, that's ok with me I like talking the kayaks. I think a guy or 2 could still push a 12' aluminum boat and trailer past the rock barricade to the lake.but I don't have one to try sorry for that."the walk is not that far" IMO although the walk to the trailer parking lot is up hill which is about twice the distance. The lower lot has 3 spots no trailer, the upper lot has 4 maybe 5. Before you try launching a 12'. I think it's best for you to go look for your self, before trying.

Sorry I should have taken some photos, maybe next time.

I always thought a lake was supposed to have a certain amount of access based on it's size.

I doesn't matter even if this lake was a worse fishing lake than even Druid lake ,it still should have a decent access.

At one time this was a very good fishing lake.

It’s truly laughable how this played out. After a 20 year wait, the access situation is now....actually worse than it was? As the Corey Oil launch was (now closed) a quick paddle or motor up the river. I still have access to the lake if I want it but this was shameful

I checked out the launch today. After over 30 years of waiting this is all they could do!

A gravel road going down to some parking spots.  Better have wheels for the kayak and take everything in one shot its a bit of a walk.

will either have to use a tree or hold it ,no bathroom or outhouse.

they could have a launch for a small boat easily, there's enough room.

I guess money controls everything!

I was on the committee years ago to get an access. I quit because it wasn't a group to make a legitimate boat access but restrict access to the lake. It was a sham.

"My opinion is the DNR caved to the wishes of the wealthy homeowners to make it a total pain in the ass to access "their" lake."

100% agree... so much for the lakes are public...

"Wisconsin's Public Trust Doctrine requires the state of Wisconsin to intervene to protect public rights in the commercial and recreational use of navigable waters."

I checked out the new launch yesterday. What a joke. I have a 10' duck skiff with a set of wheels and wouldn't even attempt it. Granted I'm pushing 70 with bad knees but that walk is long especially pulling a craft and gear. My opinion is the DNR caved to the wishes of the wealthy homeowners to make it a total pain in the ass to access "their" lake. There are better lakes nearby anyway.

Reddelien Rd, of W Shore Dr., there’s a standard brown DNR Access sign. Carry-in access only, I checked it at a roughly 4-5 minute leisure walking pace from parking to shore access.

Hoping for the best that maybe a new owner has improved the post office access and opens it sometime this season.

Where is this new DNR access at on the west shore?

Haven't been out there for a year, and it was for sale then.

Someone might have bought it my son was in the area last week and said the same thing.
