Fished tonight, got 3, 18,19 and 21. Big rollers coming in off the bay made it rough. Water was 78 degrees and is still high. Took a pic of a guy fishing on the "bench" next to the boat landing just to show how high the water is.
Menominee River, Marinette County

The Menominee doesn’t run through Crivitz. Perhaps you’re thinking of the Peshtigo. If you’re looking for SMB you can find them in all parts of the Menominee. The Peshtigo is decent smallie water but the Menominee is a better bet.
I was thinking the same thing.
The Menominne does not run through Crivitz ????
Heading to Marinette and wondering how far up from town i should go looking fir smallmouth. Do i need to go way up by crivitz
56° - 60° F
Fished yesterday, only caught some short walleyes, jig and minnows. Water is even higher than a week ago although current seemed a bit less, but still strong.
Launch was about 1/2 full of big rigs. The Cabela's NWT tournament is Thursday and Friday and many guys were out pre-fishing. I think they are going out of the Menekaunee launch, not sure about the rest of the details. Should be interesting to see what the pros bring in although they can fish all of Green Bay.
anyone been on the river below JJ bridge in mcallister down to Porterfield ?
Phenomenal fishing today. Lots of boats for the opener, the bite was great. We used fat head minnows on 3/8 ounce jigs with stingers. Two tone orange/chartreuse jigs were our best colors. Prior to today, blue/white was the best color. The majority of our fish bit when the jig was on bottom. This is a trend that has become very apparent with the explosion of gobies. Our biggest fish was only 24”, as most of the big fish have migrated to open water. Today will probably the last day I Guide around Marinette or peshtigo area this spring.Time to concentrate on the Winnebago System. I have had a great season already with some really big fish in the boat. I’ll include some pics of eaters from today, but if you are interested in some big fish pics from April, check out the Fritz’s Guide Service FB page. Good luck with all your fishing this season and I can’t wait for next spring.
Was up fishing last Monday when that unfortunate accident happened, does anyone know if the Gentleman that the rescue boats were looking for had been recovered? Safe boating?
