What shape is Boom Landing in for launching boats? 
I'll be launching and trailering by myself.

Stopped by Boom Landing today, water looked a little low for this time of year. About 20 trailers in the lot including Larry Smith's, should be a show coming this week. Not sure how it is down stream, wind was crazy today..

How does the river to the mouth look? ?Ice yet? Any landings open? Thx.

How dirty is the water right now? I was hoping it's cleaner than the Fox. Polski, you should see how the Wardens are out in De Pere. Fish are getting expensive for some guys.

Is anyone catching off Stephenson? What's the water temp?

Talked to a guy who was fishing by the dam yesterday morning. He said it was pretty crowed and he saw the wardens bust two different guys for keeping snagged fish. Don't do it, it's only a fish.

Most of the cranking by the dam at night so fluoro not needed. I would use Berkley Big Game 20# because mono MORE abrasion resistant plus it floats vs fluoro sinks. Very shallow up there and lots of lures lost.

What type of line is good for casting crank baits up by the dam? Thinking like a 20lb Seagar Smackdown with a 15lb fluorocarbon leader. Sound about right? Never done this before. Going to up there visiting relatives so thought I would give it a try. Thanks!
