Well, went out on Monday. Fishing was very, very slow. My son-in-law and I only caught a Bass each in about 5 hours. According to Ol'Joes Bait shop we went West out of the Recreation Area. He said the water temps. were about 95-97 going North. As we started out from the boat launch temp. was 90. When we got about a mile away it was 84. Still to warm for me. Tried some coves for crappie and some shore lines for bass and had no luck until the sun started to come out. It was cloudy & about 74 degrees most of the day. When the sun came out we caught the 2 bass, thought it was going to turn on but that was it. Anyway still had a good time with Son-in-law and will be back but most likely not until next year or October or November.

Tight Lines everyone

Just got back. Had a very good day. Started out about 8:00 finished at 1:30. Ol' Joe's bait shop was very helpful. Check him out next time you go out there. Caught 7 nice Crappie, 2 small bluegills, 2 bass, 2 nice striped bass and a surprise 14" walleye. All released for another day. Most were caught on slip bobber and minnow. Striped bass were on jig and plastic, orange & chartreuse. Walleye on a Crappie rod with a green jig with white hair. Had a lot of fun, can't wait to go back out there.

Fished 4/14 & 4/15. I fished the west side of the Dewit bridge and the rip rap south of the ramp at the state recreation area on the main like. Crappies were hitting on minnies in 8 to 12 foot of water. Most small but pulled 7 keepers on 4/14and 11 on 4/15. Used both straight lines and slip bobber. Look for the cribs along the rip rap by the ramp. Lots of crap asses were cooperating. Fun :)

I was up there on Tuesday.  Most of the fish we caught were off the rocks using a 1.0 square bill.  Both sides of the 14 bridge.  Also along the rocks to the North of the West access ramp.  Good luck with the tournament!
