Ice cream pail of yellow buttons today central part of state. In grass by 5 yr. old stumps. Very surprised,  way too warm. But evenings have been cool so... you never know this time of year. Have to keep checking.

I found about a 3# hen of the woods today in Green Lake county today.  I think I found some chicken of the woods, but I'm not familiar with them so I left them.

Picked an 8lb hen on Friday.  Same tree has produced annually around the 25th of Aug. Picture is 1 of 7 around this tree.

Up North.  Mushrooms should start very soon-many types.  Because of all the rain should be a very good year.

I have eaten Puffballs, bland kind of like eating salted and buttered rubber bands. On the bottom of the taste charts as just edible.
