Boat launch idiots!

Why is it that every time I go to a public launch I have to contend with someone who has no clue what they are doing? One time After fishing in the morning I get back to the launch, on lake winnebago in the big hole, and on one side of the dock I see a car and trailer in the launch, no boat or a person. I get to the dock and get out and look around and see a boat coming into the harbor. Didn't think much of it. Came back with my truck and trailer, just as two other rigs pull up to launch. I get my boat on the trailer and the boat I saw coming in behind me pulls up onto the trailer parked on the other side of the dock. This guy backed his rig in, got in his boat and went out on the lake without parking his car and trailer in the parking area!!!!!!!!!!! This launch is only a one dock two ramp deal. He had no problem with plugging one side with his car and going out on the lake! I'm sure we all have a few stories about jerks at the boat landings so here is a place to vent!

That does kind of suck. It requires a lot of ignorance or a lot of entitlement to think it's okay to do that.
I really dislike these UTV things. They are unnecessarily loud. I get that it's probably fun to drive one off-road because they are like big go-carts, but why not just take your truck or car when you need to go to town or whatever? Why destroy the peace of everyone else? These are basically golf carts with boners for guys who have a lot of disposable income and have no idea what Northern Wisconsin really is.

FORGOT TO POST THIS EARLIER. EARLY MAY ON THE BIG LAKE BOAT LAUNCH -THREE LAKES CHAIN. TWO GUYS WITH A ROLLER TRAILER BACK IN THE TRAILER TO TAKE THE BOAT OUT FOR THE EVENING. CANT FIGURE OUT WHY THE BOAT WONT GO ON THE TRAILER WHEN WINCHING IT. HINT THE REAR ROLLER SHOULD NOT BE ABOUT 6" OR MORE OUT OF THE WATER IT WONT GO ANYWHERE. THERE WAS A LOT OF HEAD SCRATCHING GOING ON THERE!!
Had a HUGE one last weekend! Local lake, very busy. Launch has rental boats on piers next to it. Also has slips with private boats on it.
Dude gets his family on a rental speed boat. He's in between two piers, full of boats. He starts the engine and puts the throttle down full tilt. Speed boat runs over the edge of a pier, hits a private boat in the front hull, then jumps it and lands in the water on it's side. His two small girls are in the front of the boat, soaking wet. He waives his hands and says "It's fine!". Then puts the boat into reverse and guns it again, he backs up right into the boat he just hit.
Then he takes off and goes out into the lake.
Wish I could have been there when he got back and the rental company looked over that boat, as well as the pier and the private boat that was hit twice. Unreal.

I qualified !!!! Had to replace my guide ons as one upright cracked off. Put new ones on with guide arm on top of frame and bracket on bottom. That’s #1. Then at turtle flambeau flowage. I back into wrong side of pier. WTF. Figure that out then back in wayyyyy to far boat won’t line up like it did since 1999. Get help at landing. Then my gal show me picks of how old ones were mounted. Ahhhhhhhhh. All fixed now. Sorry ttf people a bunch of inches left right and up down makes huge difference. Lesson learned every one
Saw one today, I wish I would have recorded it !!! older couple at the dock, she's taking videos or pictures sitting on the dock like a child would, I could hear one of them yelling at the other. she is a little on the heavier side a.nd seems to have a little difficulty moving around.she finally scoots her butt over to sit on the edge of the pier and puts her legs in the boat to try to get in the boat. as she's doing this I can see the boat start to pull away from the dock and her legs are the only thing in the boat...see where this is going, don't you ???
Sure as sure, the boat is dragging her off the dock, but she isn't in the boat, lol.
all of a sudden she goes backwards, kerplunk. he tries to grab her, but I think she weighed more than him, so in he goes too !!!!
the GF and I are laughing our butts off, not at their misfortune, but just the way it all went down. I don't like to make fun of anybody especially misfortune, but I couldn't help it.
we decided to take a little ride figuring they will be out of there so we can load the boat when we get back.
