I went out on Saturday morning and evening.  My morning sit was mainly just to get out not necessarily shoot anything because it poured the whole time.  I sat in one of our rifle stands until 10am and didn't see anything.  I went back out around 4pm and the rain had stopped.  I ended up seeing 4 does and 2 fawns, they were not moving fast at all.  Sunday morning I went out for a few hours and didn't see anything, got to my stand location first thing and noticed that a squirrel halfway chewed through one of the straps of the stand I just hung last week.  I'm glad it was noticeable because if I tried to step on it I'd have probably taken a tumble.

Overall it was just nice to get in the woods again.

Was able to sit Saturday afternoon and saw nothing. Sat this morning before work and had two yearlings walk through at 15 yrds. Then about 5 minutes later the biggest buck i have pics of walked through but gave no shot. This was all around 6:30 this morning. I believe I caught the big boy on his way back to bed. I think it will really heat up this week. i just hope the warmer weather doesnt push the activity mostly at night.

Sat today from about 530 to 930 and 130 to close.

Saw a total of 13..6 different bucks. 1 was a really good one. Also the biggest buck on the property walked about a camera at 6am this morning 125 yards from me. So they are moving

End shooting this doe tonight with about 15 mins left. 10 yards shot, she ran about 100 yards and piled up. Don't have many more sit left and would rather shot a doe with a bow then a rifle. So what the heck I shot.

I will be out next weekend!

Didn't feel like sitting in the crazy wind this afternoon so I took a 3 hour drive around the area. Almost every public land spot I drove by had a truck. I've never seen it this busy. Seen a total of 2 deer on private land.

worst season i've had in a long long time. seen one deer in the last 13 stands. still some time left, but gets tougher and tougher from here on out. cant remember ever seeing this amount of pressure as well. pressurized lull happening in my neck of the woods. good luck rest of season!

Awesome job to everyone who connected. I enjoy seeing them all. Buck or doe, big or small, all great.

Congrats to all the successful hunters! You're definitely feeling better than my brother in law. Apparently hit a big one Friday morning and tracked it for four hours after letting it go for four. Good blood to start but eventually petered out just before a big cornfield. he lives close by so hopefully he notices some crows or buzzards and can at least recover it.

MasterPiker, sent you a PM.

Some great looking deer on here so far, congrats to all those who have punched tags so far! I stuck this Sauk County buck yesterday morning at 7:43 AM. Came in to run a smaller buck off that I grunted/rattled in. I saw 14 bucks and 8 does in 2 hours before I was able to slip out of the woods. He only made it about 125 yards, all downhill and towards the truck!

Central Adams County. 8 pt with his nose to the ground at 8:30 this morning. Out of range tried to turn him with a grunt and he bolted. Saw 2 does 30 minutes later. That was it. Sat all day.

Did see what must have been 50 deer between Portage and my hunting area between 5:30-6:30 last night. Most in picked corn fields.

Up at 5am,  27 degrees and a bit windy. OK get in the stand. Had a button buck hanging around at daybreak, about 8 mom shows up. Double lunger, 40 yards and watched her fall over, perfect.

Meat in the freezer, now wait for a buck. Most deer on the camera still at night.

Congratulations to the lucky ones so far. As far as what I consider the best week to hunt, it would be the next week. Major wind tomorrow,  and then Tuesday on warm, very warm, 50's and not below freezing at night.  Gonna make it tough for the rutting activity to happen during daylight.

Buck action tonight was nonexistent.   Had 2 antlerless across a creek 50 yards away around 515. around 6 one returned, crossed creek, came 18 yards.  Made a good 1st shot, but was still standing in range.  Second shot right through the heart, watched fall 5 yards from that point.  Now all focus is does.
