I appreciate all the input! Im just trying to find somewhere to ice fish Friday, Sat, and Sun. I only questioned Tomahawk because that is where we are staying. I am all for any suggestions on other lakes in that immediate area where we can find Crappies and Gills, a shallower lake that has better ice conditions would be great. Our season down here only lasted 3 weeks. Im just not familiar with the lakes in the Tomahawk area. Thanks to all for responding!

Fellas:
It's great that there are some ice reports with regard to Tom. I'd like to caution that both individuals mentioned good ice, my biggest concern was where was the good ice??? As most everyone knows our large area lakes are always the last ones to freeze, so where is that on Tom??? I would submit that ice as reported may be very good from Lake Tom (town) out towards Dolhuns Point or so, but I would be drilling out where you're going until you know!!! I also would submit that as you round the corner towards Windy Point, you are going to start running into thinner ice... I don't know what that is, but everything North and West of there would have been the last to freeze, thus how thick is it??? I've heard Trout may only have 4 or so inches on it and if that is the case I would submit that would be similar ice depth NW of Windy...
Again, this is not to throw bad at the ice reports, it is to make sure that everyone is being careful on this years ice!!! Spud and Drill and Check often, Be Safe and Catch a Big One!!!

Catch and release walleye and bass has been great with lots of fish being caught. Slip bobbers with leeches and jigs with crawlers in 12-22 weeds and mud flat's. I have a few July dates open so give me a holler.
