Cory Ewing  (Webster, SD)

Growing up most of my memories revolve around time spent out on the lake with my dad. As I started getting older the topic of what I wanted to do with my life came up more and more often and quite honestly I struggled with that for some time. Then I went on my first guided fishing trip in Canada and thought to myself now that is what I want to do. So I got a degree in business administration and I started Waubay Lake Guide Service. It was really was the perfect storm because here was a world class fishery with no fishing guide service to speak of.

In the present day I spend roughly 300 plus days on the open and hard water chasing walleye, smallmouth bass, white bass, jumbo perch, crappie, blue gill’s, and northern pike. I am very fortunate to have a very understanding wife and family that has been supportive and active in my outdoor adventures. The Northeastern corner of South Dakota is home to some of the best walleye, bass, northern pike, and pan fishing in the Midwest and if you have not experienced it I will say it is a must visit fishing destination.
